ANDALUCÍA: THE IBERIAN PENINSULA
PEOPLE ENVY ME WHEN I TELL THEM THAT I AM LUCKY I WAKE UP EVERY DAY IN ANDALUCIA - Unknown Courtesy of BORAQS - we are off to the Iberian Peninsula (Spain & Portugal) - as part of a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and learning tour. An 8-day whistle-stop tour during which we eventually toured over 6 major cities of Spain and Portugal - with emphasis on its history - especially the Islamic period and eventual conquest & re-conversion to Catholicism. Its 2pm Friday 22 May 2026. We've just finished our Jumaa prayer and now off to the airport for our Qatar Airways flight to Madrid via Doha. It's a long and full flight. We have no choice of seats. But I manage to sweet talk Monica - one of the ground staff checking us in - and she gets us legroom seats on our first sector.
